ABOUT US

WELCOME

We are a privately run OFSTED registered Nursery & Preschool based in the Neighbourhood Centre in Gubbins Lane, Harold Wood.

We offer childcare during term time only and we take children from 2 to 4+ years until they start school.

All our staff are trained in the relevant childcare qualifications and are security checked. All of our staff have received or are awaiting training in Paediatric First Aid.

Our sessions are for 3 hours; morning sessions are 9am to 12 noon, afternoon sessions are from 12 noon to 3pm. A full day is both sessions 9am - 3pm. Children staying for a full day or coming for the afternoon session can bring in a packed lunch to eat with their friends.

Nursery and Pre School Rooms

Our Nursery room is for children from 2-3 years old.  Children can join us once they have turned 2 years old.  Our Pre School room is for children from 3-4 years old until they start school.  Both rooms are bright and welcoming, and offer all sessions.

Fees & Funding

We can offer places for 2 year old funded children and we also have 30 hour funded places.

If your are not yet in receipt of funding we will send you an invoice for fees. These are due at the start of each half term.

We accept childcare vouchers.

Key workers

Each child is allocated a Key worker who will get to know you and your child and will work closely with them, supporting them through the EYFS.  You will be kept up to date with your child's progress by their Key worker through use of the Tapestry system and also in person.

Daily Routine

We have snack time in the morning session where children have a snack that they have brought in from home.  We also ask that they bring in a water bottle for them to use throughout the day. Whenever possible children will have outdoor play during both sessions.

OUR AIMS

To give the children the much needed companionship of other children, to enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age, to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment and to help children to gain confidence, high self esteem and independence.

We treat each child as an individual and welcome any child irrespective of race, ethnicity, religion, social class, special needs or physical needs.

We promote equal opportunity and believe in inclusive practice.  We have regard to the special educational needs code of practice.
